Art on the Avenue Del Ray Alexandria

Alexandria's annual Art on the Avenue multicultural arts and music festival will take place from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 4, along Mount Vernon Avenue in Del Ray.

The George Washington Middle School Drama Club will present a scene from “Myth Adventures” at 3 and 4 p.m. in the demonstrations area, on the east side of the street, between the Children’s and Twin Music Stages. Robert McDonough is the Drama Club advisor.

Members of the T.C. Williams High School Orchestra will hold a Musical Petting Zoo, where children can explore musical instruments. The event will take place at Booth E105.

Jefferson-Houston School for Arts and Academics has reserved a table, which will highlight the school's success and feature a display of student artwork.

ACPS students, staff and PTA members also may be on hand at other booths and will be represented during musical performances.
