I think upper/west King Street is doing well right now because the the touristy nature and the godawful constant roaring of the Harleys down at the corner of King and Union are a real turn-off. I'd love to see something succeed and do WELL in the 100 King location because it's such a beautiful space. The original 100King restaurant (before all the crazy changes to the menu, etc) was FABULOUS. I hope the new group can take things down that line and not turn it into another bland touristy overpriced craphole like so much of lower King Street has become. Their reputation and other ownings give me hope to see that happen. Vermillion, Evening Star, and Rustico are among my favorite places in the area (though admittedly I could od without Talulla).

They must have got a great deal on the place because at this moment the American economy and many of its business are failing, not to mention most all the restaurants around 100 King are struggling.

I've lived in OTA since 1980 and nothing has ever succeeded for too long at 100 King. There's too much competition, not enough parking, and now the restaurants on the west end of King are chipping away at businesses on lower King St.

Sounds great to me. I like all of their places and love a few of them. I definitely think that their group represents a mark of quality. I am curious to see which chef it would be. A great chef in that location could make for a hoppin place.

I can't speak to all the restaurants, but the Evening Star is about the most overrated restaurant in the area. Eaten there several times, and very unimpressed. I expect some of the same fake buzz for this latest one...

Good for us that another restaurant is coming; however,it's a shame the Neighborhood Restaurant Group will run this property - their food except for Buzz and Evening - is not very good. GT prices - althouth the food is not represenative of price or quality. I'll try to remain open minded .....but.....
