Our planet is a disgrace

I am an eighth grader that attends Carl Sandburg Middle School. I am writing specifically for the safety of our planet. If the inhabitants of the earth don’t reduce their usage of natural resource then the planet will over heat. This once beautiful land of our fathers is now a disgrace. Driving along the George Washington Parkway, if you look out of your car window you will see litter strewn across the Potomac River. What has become of us these days? Why do we throw our used trash on the beloved land that has been our home since the beginning of time? Do not litter! You may have heard this since you were little, but if you have, why do we do it any way? Is it really that much to ask for you to throw your cans and bottles into a recycling bin?
