ALEXANDRIA, VA. —
There's a new dining option in Old Town North with the opening of Oak Steakhouse. The high-end steakhouse opened on Friday, July 12 at 901 North Saint Asaph Street.

Alexandria's new Oak Steakhouse is one of several run by Indigo Road Hospitality Group. Other locations are in Atlanta; Charleston South Carolina; Charlotte and Raleigh, North Carolina; and Nashville, Tennessee.

The Alexandria restaurant is led by Chef Joseph Conrad. He was most recently the executive sous chef at The Lafayette, a restaurant at DC's Hay Adams Hotel. The menu is centered around steaks made with certified Angus beef, with each meeting ten standards to maintain taste and tenderness. The restaurant also emphasizes local produce from Virginia farms and others around the U.S.
