Washington, DC — Whisk Group LLC CEO Mark Weiss is pleased to announce a variety of new and exciting events at the popular British Isles-inspired bistro, AGAINN, which opened last October on the corner of 11th Street and New York Avenue, NW.
 
To celebrate the warm weather, AGAINN is introducing three new beer floats, all prepared with homemade ice cream by AGAINN Pastry Chef Genevieve So. AGAINN is also saying “Cheers!” to Dads in June with beer specials, a reduced scotch locker rate, and a three-course Father’s Day brunch menu on June 20th.
 
This summer, AGAINN diners can beat the heat by enjoying one of three of Chef So’s beer float creations. Priced at $9 each, the Guinness Beer Float with Madagascar Vanilla Bean Ice Cream; Guinness Beer with Stout Ice Cream, and Vanilla Cream Soda with Strawberry Ripple Ice Cream are each served in a cold clear glass with four scoops of ice cream and topped with fresh whipped cream for extra decadence.
 
Additionally, AGAINN will also be serving a fantastic assortment of beers as part of their Father’s Day promotion throughout the month of June. For their way of saying, “Cheers to all the Dads,” AGAINN will be offering local, national, and international beers from $5 - $12.
 
Local Alewerks Chesapeake Pale Ale, a contemporary pale ale showcasing local microbrewers and American malts and hop varieties, will be available at just $5.
 
For $6, Dads can enjoy the dark, rich, and sexy Founders Porter, a Michigan beer from Founders Brewing Co., who recently won four awards at the 2010 World Beer Cup in Chicago.
 
And for a trip across the pond, Dads can enjoy Scotch de Silly Ale, a Belgium Scotch Ale that boasts as one of the greatest Scotch Ales brewed by Brasserie de Silly since WWI.
 
The smooth, velvety taste and hoppy bitterness can be enjoyed for $12.
 
For those looking for that perfect gift for Dad, AGAINN is offering a reduced rate on their popular scotch lockers just in time for Father’s Day.
 
From June 1st through 20th, scotch lockers can be purchased at a reduced rate of $450 per year (normally $500). Limited to one scotch locker per family, this special offer also includes a complimentary, hand selected bottle of Scotch whisky; $50 gift certificate to the restaurant and an invitation to attend three tastings with Beverage Director Caterina Abbruzzetti.
 
The tastings will be presented throughout the year and guests are able to choose their respective tasting.
 
Furthermore, the restaurant is also offering a special menu for Dads on Sunday, June 20th from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The pre-fixed menu is priced at $35 (tax and gratuity excluded) and includes a choice of appetizer, entrée and dessert.
 
Diners can choose from a wide assortment of delectable items on the brunch a la carte menu, which is available throughout the day.
