ALEXANDRIA, VA. - Stop by Del Ray favorite The Del Merei Grille to help them celebrate the grill’s 5th anniversary the week of February 15-21 with dinner and beer specials, complimentary desserts, frickles, and more.
The Del Merei Grille opened its doors Feb. 15, 2005 and quickly became a neighborhood favorite. The restaurant is an OpenTable.com Diner’s Choice Winner 2009 and a “Neighborhood Gem.”
As their way of saying thank you to the community that has supported them over the past five years, owners Mary Abraham Reid and Executive Chef Eric Reid are bringing back some of their most popular specials from seasons past.
Week-long dinner specials are: Braised Beef BBQ Ribs with slow cooked collard greens and baked mac-n-cheese; Grilled Cedar Planked Salmon Filet with grilled asparagus and roasted corn pancake and smoked tomato chutney; Pan-Seared Halibut with yellow squash and goat cheese smashed potatoes and blueberry compote; Crab Cake Napoleon with avocado, crisp tortillas and roasted corn salsa and Cajun remoulade; Merei Fried Chicken Breast with potato salad and sauteed spinach with blue cheese and our BBQ sauce;
Friday, Feb. 19 is “Free Frickle Friday” where guests may accept a gift of our famous lightly fried pickles with spiced remoulade. On Saturday, Feb. 20, join the party on the bar side for an array of beer specials and a special bar only menu. And all week-long, diners will have a choice of a free celebratory dessert with the purchase of two dinner entrees.
