ALEXANDRIA, VA. - Easter came early to Union Street Public House as Chef Mike Soper served up another one of his specialty dinners.

Children in Waynewood also had an early peek at Easter when the Waynewood Recreation Association held its annual Easter Egg Hunt. Along with the traditional egg hunts, children enjoyed getting their faces painted and decorating cupcakes.

In Arlington, Rep. Jim Moran (D-8) surprised the guests at the Doorways for Women
30th Anniversary Benefit Auction that was held at the Washington Golf & Country Club.

Moran took advantage of the break during the historic Sunday vote on health care reform to join the guests who gathered for the fundraiser that was sponsored by real estate developer and community philanthropist, Preston Caruthers.

Maureen Bunyan from ABC 7 served once again as Doorways’ 30th Anniversary Honorary Chair. Guests enjoyed a large array of silent auction items, while enjoying cocktails and a lavish buffet.
