Susan McCorkindale, the author and columnist who chronicled her adventures relocating from the rough-and-tumble world of New York advertising to a farm in Fauquier County, is paying a visit to us city slickers here in Alexandria.
On Thursday, Feb. 12, Mystique Jewelers in Old Town will be hosting a signing of her new book, "Confessions of a Counterfeit Country Girl" and fundraiser at the jewelry shop on The Strand.
"If you've ever been there, you know that the store is spectacular," Susan tells us. "And if you've never been there, plan on making a day of it. Between Mystique and allll the many shops and restaurants in Old Town, this is one Girls' Day Out you'll want to write in pen on your planner right now."
McCorkindale's book signing starts at 11am. "But really, this is about so much more than me and my book," she said. "THIS IS ABOUT JEWELRY!! And Valentine's Day will be just two days away!"
