As someone who is a fan of everything fashion, I don’t think style ends with the sleek cocktail dress we slip into before a night out on the town.

I believe we should look and feel fabulous 24/7, and that includes during our much-needed beauty sleep.  Feeling fresh and beautiful as you are getting into bed will help relieve you from the stress that consumes your day. You can have that perfect night sleep. All you need is the right outfit!

It’s all about Pajama Chic. The phrase is defined by just how it sounds: mixing style with comfort. The most important craze about pajamas is that they are comfortable enough to sleep in, (that means no sequins!) but sexy enough to feel confident to seduce someone!
Here are my favorite looks:

The “I can roll out of bed in a dress” look

I am a fan of the lounge dress look. Not only are these pajama dresses très chic, but you can easily wear them as a cover-up on the beach, around the house, or even to a cocktail party. While some lounge dresses are simple and classic, others have funky patterns and vibrant colors. Do what works best for you, but don’t be afraid to take risks. While the dress is extremely flattering for all figures, the material is soft and delicate against your skin. You can literally roll out of bed and be dressed for the day! It’s not very sanitary but it’s still an option!

The “I’m with him” look

During my research for this Pajama Chic article, I interviewed ten different guys on what they prefer to see a girl wear to bed. I gave them the choice of either lingerie or one of their shirts- like an oxford. All of the guys (yes, every single one) said they would much rather see a girl wearing one of their own big baggy “man shirts” than lingerie. Ladies, let’s celebrate together! No longer do we have to squeeze into a tiny bustier that has 20 different clasps, and so much lace that it somehow gets tangled in our hair. Just throw on one of his button downs and he is all yours. This look is comfortable as well. Silk can sometimes stick to your body in the middle of the night, but an oxford shirt? Well, that gives your body the breath of fresh air it needs!

The “Bustin’ Booty” look

Boxer shorts and a tank top is simple, cozy, and just an overall cute look! The boxers give just the amount of coverage you need to stay cool during the hot summer nights. Lauren Spitzer, Beauty Publicist from Creative Media Marketing, said it best when I asked her why she loves the shorts and tank pajama chic attire, "wearing cute boxers to bed makes me feel sexy while feeling comfortable.  After all, who wants to sleep in something they don't feel comfortable in? A real woman doesn't wear slips to bed; they wear a frilly pair of boxers that make you feel good.”

Before you hop into bed, do a Conga Line in the streets wearing one of these pajama chic styles.  On July 25th put on your PJ attire and head over to The Fish Market, located on 105 King Street in Old Town, for their Midsummer Nights Dream Pajama Party.

Not only will there be dancing, drink specials, and complimentary hors d'oeuvres, but everyone will be doing a Conga Line in the streets while wearing their PJ’s. What better way to show off your fabulous sleepwear than with one huge Pajama Party!
Remember be confident, feel sexy, and always sleep in pajama chic.
