This summer, the acclaimed hotel is offering a two-night “First Class Family Fun” package, available through Sept. 30, offering guests a unique opportunity to enjoy family friendly museums, IMAX Theatre experiences, luxurious accommodations, and a night time tour of the capital city’s most cherished monuments.
 
Mandarin Oriental’s oversized adjoining guest rooms will evoke a truly residential feel for families to enjoy.  Breathtaking views of the water and city monuments serve as an enticing backdrop to the hotel - and define the choice between Deluxe City View Rooms and Deluxe Water View Rooms.  Breakfast each morning is served at the casual Sou’Wester restaurant boasting American comfort food inspired by the region, and overnight parking is also included.

Families will be equipped with a special ‘Mall Survival Kit’- a tote of healthy snacks, hand towels and bottled water - with which to explore the National Mall, the large public park between the Lincoln Memorial and the US Capitol. Home to prominent monuments, an antique carousel and the Museums of the Smithsonian Institute, the Mall is just footsteps from the hotel and boasts IMAX theatres at both the National Museum of Natural History and the National Air & Space Museum.  The First Class Family Package includes four tickets to any available show time at either museum during the guests’ stay.

Visitors will also enjoy a trip to the family friendly International Spy Museum, the first and only public museum in the United States solely dedicated to espionage and the only one in the world to provide a global perspective on this all-but-invisible profession. It features the largest collection of international spy-related artefacts ever placed on public display.

Guests booking the First Class Family Fun package will be in for a very special treat with an evening monument tour taken in a chauffeured luxury sedan, complete with snacks and bottled waters.  Guests will marvel at this dramatic look at Washington’s most revered monuments: the Jefferson Memorial and its tidal basin; the Lincoln Memorial and its reflecting pool; the Washington Monument and its circle of flags, and the US Capitol.  Guests can also visit the Vietnam War Memorial, the Korean War Memorial, and the World War II Memorial.

Rates are based on a two-night stay for a family of four and begin at $1,499 from July 1 through September 30. Additional room nights are available at prevailing rates. This package is subject to availability and does not include taxes or service charge.  Reservations must be made at least 48 hours prior to arrival.
