WASHINGTON, DC. - One of Washington DC most beloved organizations is putting on the Ritz with real star power for it's Annual Gala! N Street Village, the award-winning social services agency that provides shelter and support to homeless and low-income women in the Washington, DC metro area, is hosting its Annual Gala to honor the clients, volunteers and supporters of the organization.   Organizers are expecting to draw 600 guests to The Ritz Carlton and raise close to one million dollars!

Golden Globe winner and active philanthropist, Richard Gere, will be presenting the awards to the N Street Village honorees.  Tom & Hillary Baltimore are Co-Chairs together with Honorary Co-Chairs Congressman and Mrs. Kasey Crowley and Congressman and Mrs. Royce. N Street Village is the largest provider of women-only services for D.C.'s homeless population, serving nearly 1,000 of D.C.'s adult female homeless population. N Street Village provides a wide range of supportive services and housing in order to help women achieve stability and improved quality of life.  The focus is to create a safe and welcoming community where women are empowered to make positive changes in their lives.

Every day for the past 40 years, the doors of N Street Village have been open – providing much needed hope and hospitality to DC's most vulnerable women. The Gala provides an opportunity to celebrate the organization's remarkable history and ensure that N Street Village keeps it's promise to be present for the women who need critical help.

This year N Street Village will be honoring Melissa Maxfield with Comcast for her incredible and continuing support of N Street Village.  Those efforts have provided new opportunities for the most vulnerable in our society.

Supporters of N Street Village choose to donate their time and resources because they believe in the valuable work of the organization.  Some members of the community who support N Street Village and are expected to attend the gala on March 24th include, but are not limited to:  Senator Susan Boxer, Senator and Mrs. Tom Daschle, Mr. and Mrs. Tom Wheeler, Senator and Mrs. Roy Blunt, Councilmember Jack Evans
