ALEXANDRIA, VA. — "Black Panther," the groundbreaking superhero movie nominated for best picture at the 91st Academy Awards, is returning to the big screen for the first week of February to celebrate Black History Month.

The movie will return to 250 participating AMC theaters and tickets are free of cost, The Walt Disney Company announced in a press release. At each participating theater, there will be two showings per day between Feb. 1-7.

The Walt Disney Company will also give a $1.5 million grant to support the United College Negro Fund, the nation's largest and most effective minority education organization.

Alexandria's AMC Hoffman 22 is one of the participating theaters. You can check ticket availability and click "book now" to reserve tickets. Once all tickets are claimed, a limited waiting list will open up before a show is shown as being "fully booked."

Overall, "Black Panther" has picked up seven Oscar nominations. At the Screen Actors Guild Awards, the movie received two awards, including outstanding performance by a cast in a motion picture.
