WASHINGTON, DC. -
This past summer, Wizards rookie guard Tomas Satoransky wrote a letter to thank the basketball fans of FC Barcelona, where he had played two seasons in the top Spanish league.

Before that, the Czech Republic native had played five seasons for Baloncesto Sevilla, moving to Spain when he was 17 and becoming fluent in Spanish.

“Spain became my second home,” Satoransky, 25, said. “I was there at a span of an age that was very important for me when I was growing up. … I wanted to let guys know how important they were to me, both of the clubs.

“You never know what is going to happen in the future. If things don’t work out well, I would love to go back some time,” he added.
