ALEXANDRIA, VA. - The Titans' track and field team dominated the competition at the 35th running of the T. C. Williams High School Invitational on Saturday, May 6. Despite the cold, rainy day, T. C. athletes racked up the points and clinched top honors in numerous events.

T. C. Williams won both the boys and girls team championship trophies by a decisive margin. For the T. C. boys, 2017 was the sixth consecutive year winning the team title (2012-2017); the girls won the team title four times over the past six years and finished as runners-up in 2016.

Outstanding Performance Awards

T. C. senior Jack Mackey received the Donald Futrell Male Outstanding Performance Award for taking first place in both distance races: 1600 meter run and 3200 meter run. T. C. senior Bhrandi Crenshaw won the Beverly Lawson Female Outstanding Performance Award for first place in triple jump, second place in long jump, and third place in high jump plus running on the winning 4x100 meter relay team. Crenshaw also won last year’s meet MVP award.

The Titans had numerous top performers and others medalists who contributed to the team totals at the T. C. Williams Invitational. The Titans compete next at the Patriot Conference Championship on May 16-17.
