Sports in the new academic year took off in earnest last week, as varsity golf commenced and varsity football and the other fall sports will make their debut over the next few days and weeks.

Basketball pioneer Earl Lloyd will return to his hometown and make a special visit to the Alexandria Black History Museum this summer.
