Robber Hits Bank on West End

Police said the man was wearing a red hat with black trim, a black hooded sweatshirt, dark pants and dark boots.

ALEXANDRIA, VA. - Alexandria Police say that a man in a red and black ski cap robbed a Virginia Commerce Bank in the 5100 Block of Duke Street in Alexandria on Dec. 22.   Nobody was injured.

The robbery occurred at about 2:30 p.m. in the 5100 block of Duke Street. The man implied he had a gun and demanded money from a teller, police said. Once he got the cash, he left on foot, heading west on Duke Street.

Police said the man was wearing a red hat with black trim, a black hooded sweatshirt, dark pants and dark boots. The robber is still at large.
