MOUNT VERNON, VA. - A massive fire completely destroyed a Mount Vernon business Christmas night.

Firefighters were called to the Mount Vernon Antique Center in the 8100 block of Richmond Highway around 9 p.m., according to WJLA. Within minutes of firefighters arriving, the second floor collapsed. Officials told the news station around 11 p.m. it would take a few hours to put out the fire.

There have been no immediate reports of injuries. The building appeared to not be occupied at the time, as the center's website indicates it was closed on Christmas Day.

As of Tuesday morning, fire investigators were searching for signs of anyone inside and trying to determine a cause.

Initial investigations show the fire likely started on the second floor. There is no word yet on the cause of the fire.
