ALEXANDRIA, VA. - Fairfax County Police say that fishermen found the body of Hispanic male floating in the Potomac River on Monday morning Jan. 2, but that no foul play suspected.
Two recreational boaters discovered the fully clothed body Monday morning in the chilly water near Belle Haven Marina's boatslip. Police received a call about the body at 9:10 a.m., Bud Walker, spokesman for the Fairfax County Police Department told reporters.
Walker said that no new reports of missing persons had been filed with police. "We pulled the body out this morning," he said. "We don't anticipate this to be a homicide."
However, Walker cautioned that determination could change pending new information from the medical examiner. He said that there was no identification of the man.
