The 2009/2010 high school basketball season bore little resemblance to the '08/'09 campaign -- especially for Alexandria. Just 12 months ago, the T.C. Williams boys basketball team defeated South-Alexandria Hayfield for the Northern Region Title and both the Titans and the Hawks advanced to the State Tournament.

As previously written, the T.C. Williams boys basketball team had to forfeit a host of games due to the ineligible status of two former players. It had been discovered late in the season - early February - that both Billy Rowland and Darrius Porter were ruled ineligible based on the fact that the '09/'10 school year is their fifth year of high school.

The Titans of T.C. Williams have been found in violation of Virginia High School League rules by having two players currently on the squad that were in their fifth year of high school. By virtue of that fact, the boys varsity squad was forced to forfeit all victories this season and witnessed their record drop from 12-3 overall to 0-15
