Robin Trower: Souls, sighs and pharaohs
Dec 12,2008

My wife Mimi had one of those rare “life moments” a few years ago while she was in Egypt. And she had Robin Trower along for the ride.

MIDLIFE ROCKER/Steve Houk - A 30-year Kiss
Nov 25,2008

When I was in high school in Wilton, Conn. back in the mid-late 70’s, the rock group KISS was a big deal. Although the quality of their music was middling at best, their wild stage makeup and costumes and live concerts complete with levitating stages and explosive pyrotechnics were a sight to behold, and a source of adulation for us teens.

MIDLIFE ROCKER/Steve Houk - Rocking the house in Davidsonville
Sep 23,2008

Maybe the moral of the story of our recent private party gig in Davidsonville MD is: You get what you pay for. This past Saturday night, our “little-cover-band-that-could” Second Wind played Mike and Sherry Brown’s big fall bash out in Anne Arundel County after Mike outbid everyone for us in an auction at a Katrina documentary gig we played a few months ago.
