FAIRFAX - The Fairfax County Park Authority is seeking resident input on dog parks in the region.
A survey, open through Dec. 15, asks about dog park usage, concerns about conditions such as surfaces, fencing and cleanliness, and rules and etiquette.
According to Fairfax County's website: "The Fairfax County Park Authority is conducting an in-depth study of Off-Leash Dog Areas (i.e. dog parks) in Fairfax county. The purpose of the study is to assess current and future needs and priorities for dog parks throughout the county, and to adopt strategies for long-term planning, development, and management of dog parks."
The Park Authority is also accepting comments from residents outside of the survey.
