ALEXANDRIA, VA. - The revitalized pier at Old Town Alexandria’s newest waterfront development will feature a bar and lounge carved out of shipping containers.

Alexandria Restaurant Partners has largely locked down the dining and bar scene at EYA’s Robinson Landing, having previously earned approval for a pair of restaurants in the mixed-use development. Its latest proposal involves the build out of a small kitchen, outdoor bar with seating and lounge area on the pier to support one of the two restaurants: Barca, an indoor-outdoor Mediterranean-inspired wine bar.

Architectural work on the pier will include the fit-out of two 30-foot-long shipping containers, one as a kitchen and the second as a bar, with retractable canopies above the seating areas.
