ARLINGTON, VA.  - Sept. 11 is, for many, a time of remembrance marked by quiet reflection. Some events in and around Arlington aim to give visitors just that opportunity.

Here's what you can do in Arlington on Sept. 11. This list could be updated.

Women in Military Service for America Memorial

The WIMSA Memorial will honor those who lost their lives at the Pentagon on Sept. 11 with a bell ringing ceremony beginning at 9:30 a.m.

A Short Walk to the National 9/11 Pentagon Memorial

Guests, led by an informative tour guide, will walk from the South Hayes entrance, outside of the Matchbox restaurant, to the National 9/11 Pentagon Memorial in memory of those killed in the Flight 77 crash.

The National 9/11 Pentagon Memorial will be closed from Monday, Sept. 10 to Tuesday, Sept. 11, 2018. The memorial will reopen to the public at 11 a.m. Tuesday.
