ALEXANDRIA, VA. - In the wake of Michael Flynn's guilty plea in the Russia investigation, President Trump's former national security advisor is looking to sell his Old Town Alexandria home.

Flynn purchased the three-bedroom townhouse in November 2015, according to records. But a source close to Flynn told ABC News he was looking to sell it, citing concerns over "crippling legal costs" from special counsel Robert Mueller's investigation.

The colonial home is in a prime Old Town location not far from the waterfront and King Street. Built in 2005, it is listed at $849,995. Records show Flynn bought it for $774,000, according to Washingtonian.

Flynn pleaded guilty Friday to lying to the FBI about his communications with Russia's ambassador during the transition period before Donald Trump's inauguration and indicated top advisors to the president-elect knew of the conversations. He resigned less than a month into his tenure after claims that he had misled top White House officials about his conversations with the Russian ambassador. Under the plea agreement, Flynn faces up to six months in prison and a fine of $500 to $9,500.

Following the Friday trial, Flynn was seen arriving at his son's home, also in Alexandria. According to Reuters, he ran Flynn Intel Group out of Alexandria for some time after being forced out as head of the Defense Intelligence Agency in 2014.
