WASHINGTON, DC — There are plenty of things to do and see in the D.C. area Labor Day weekend. Some attractions you'll find include: Movie on the Lawn, Washington Nationals vs. New York Mets, Flower Bomb Fest, and Cirque Du Soleil.

If you're thinking of taking the Metro on Saturday, Aug. 31 through Monday, Sept. 2, you should plan accordingly: six Blue and Yellow Line train stations south of Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport will be closed. The station closures, which will be in effect until Sept. 8, are part of a larger improvement project by WMATA.
