ALEXANDRIA, VA - Several of Connie Dale’s friends and colleagues joined her last week for a ribbon cutting and reception at the newly named Dale Digital Printing on N. Fairfax Street in Old Town.

Friends, customers, business partners and Alexandria Chamber of Commerce partners gathered to wish her well. It was a bittersweet moment as Connie’s longtime business partner, the late Chris Dale, was not there to celebrate with her. Dale Photo's Eric Jean and Derek Barrera were there to help with the festivities.

Also on hand were Alexandria Mayor Bill Euille; incoming Alexandria Chamber Board Chairman Mike Anderson; Alexandria Chamber President and CEO Tina Leone; and Mt. Vernon-Lee Chamber Board Chairman Jeff Todd.

Later that same evening, Imagine Alexandria held a Halloween Meet-Up.

Nancy Belmont, the CEO of Old Town-based Belmont, Inc., greeted the guests who gathered in the courtyard behind the office of Williams Whittle, an Old Town-based ad agency and one of the region's biggest. A nice fire was blazing and grilled hot dogs were served.

As there is with every Imagine meeting, there was an activity.

This time it was carving pumpkins and Belmont encouraged guests to form teams to join the pumpkin carving contest.

Earlier in the week, Stephanie Bolton James and Christal Pollard hosted the first networking luncheon for the Women of Prince George’s.

Held at the Greenbelt Marriott, well over 100 guests attended the luncheon that featured networking, over a dozen vendors and guest speaker, Candice Camille.

Camille is the co-founder and co-owner of MadlyLiving, a bed & breakfast located in the heart of Fort Washington, MD.

Four years ago, Candice decided to abandon a career as a respiratory therapist to pursue her passion and dream of creating the ultimate space of self-pampering in the spirit of health and wellness.

This decision was driven primarily by Candice's victorious battle with tracheal cancer, which debilitated her from 1992 to 1996.  In 1996, Candice realized there was a better way to care for herself, and began her journey to becoming cancer-free and an advocate for physical fitness and wellness.

This is the first of a series of monthly networking luncheons that Women of Prince George’s will provide a first-rate mentoring and networking experience for both established and aspiring businesswomen in our community and beyond.

They are the premier networking luncheon event in Prince George's County, encouraging mutually beneficial business relationships and showcasing an elite roster of successful businesswomen with inspiring stories and ties to the Greater Prince George's County community.
