3,650 Fans Come out for Alexandria Aces this Season

The 2009 Cal Ripken, Sr Collegiate Baseball League has broken last year's fan attendance of the Aces home games with 3,650 fans this year.

General Manager Pat Malone would like to give out his thanks for all the fans that have come to Frank Mann Field at Four Mile Run Park for the 13 homes games. "We had 2,892 fans come to Aces home games in 2008.  Will you please help us get over 4,000 for 2009?" Malone said.

On Thursday, July 23 the Aces will be playing the Silver Spring-Takoma Thunderbolts and the College Park Bombers on Friday, July 24. Both games start at 7:00 pm.  

The Aces will play the Herndon Braves on Saturday, July 25, at 7:00 pm, at Braves Field, in Herndon, and on Sunday, July 26, the Aces will return to Frank Mann Field to wrap up their 2009 season against the Herndon Braves, at 7:00 pm.

"To all of our fans, host families, sponsors and supporters, a very sincere and heartfelt "thank you" goes out from the entire Aces organization to each and every one of you for helping to make 2009 a great success for wooden bat baseball in Alexandria," Malone said. "Bring you family and friends, there's only three more home games on the regular season schedule, come out and support your Aces!"
