I am a student a Carl Sandburg Middle School. Starting off the New Year of 2009, our science is beginning the unit of Investigating Energy and Its Transformations. Many students of our school have strong opinions about whether global warming is a natural cause. Other students, including me,
Hi my name is Brian Smith and I am an eight grader at Carl Sandburg Middle School. I believe that Americans are accelerating the global warming in our earth by using too much energy. Even though America only has five percent of the world’s population, we consume 26 percent of the world’s energy. America is ranked second in the world when it comes to consuming energy.
I am a student in the eighth grade at Carl Sandburg Middle School. Two words in today's society seem to cause a lot of commotion. Climate Change. My husband and I are scheduled to go on a once-in-a-lifetime all-expenses-paid trip to London. My 87-year old grandfather is in failing health and has weeks to live. What should I do if my grandfather passes while I am overseas? Should I come back for the funeral? My husband would not be able to come back early with me. Or, should I "say my goodbyes" before I leave?
