After engaging in a meditation called the Magi process where I hold the intention to be free of beliefs that stand in the way of healing for this nation/world, I am left with this question: How do I live in a manner that honors the following commandment – “Honor your Father and Mother”. Father and Mother to me ultimately mean The Creative Force and The Earth, respectively.
I would like to be accepted by my husband even when I am not taking special care of him. With a woman friend I do not always have to listen and support - I can be teased and loved in my self-centered-ness.
Packing for a trip, long or short, is a real problem for me. I don't know where to start. I get paralyzed. Friends call the night before a trip, late, and tell me that they know that I haven't begun to pack. Right they are. Usually, I am prompt and efficient. Not in this arena. I am overwhelmed at all the choices.
My husband and I are scheduled to go on a once-in-a-lifetime all-expenses-paid trip to London. My 87-year old grandfather is in failing health and has weeks to live. What should I do if my grandfather passes while I am overseas? Should I come back for the funeral? My husband would not be able to come back early with me. Or, should I "say my goodbyes" before I leave?
Mother became ill a few years ago and put my brother (B1) in charge of her estate and care. My brother (B2) and I are upset because his focus is saving money and preserving the estate. Our focus is the best possible care for her. The problem is that we have NO say in the matter since B1 is in charge. He takes our suggestions as attacks on his judgment.

I am an eighth grader that attends Carl Sandburg Middle School. I am writing specifically for the safety of our planet. If the inhabitants of the earth don’t reduce their usage of natural resource then the planet will over heat. This once beautiful land of our fathers is now a disgrace. Driving along the George Washington Parkway, if you look out of your car window you will see litter strewn across the Potomac River.
My name is Emma Yohannan and I am an eighth grader at Carl Sandburg middle school. The incandescent light bulb is a source of electric light that works by incandescence. An electric current is passes through a thin filament, heating it until it causes a light. The enclosing glass bulb prevents oxygen in air from reaching the filament. Incandescent light bulbs are not energy efficient; they waste most of the energy they use.
