Gold’s gym skipped a red carpet but did roll out the welcome
mat to members seeking an indoor workout during Saturday’s on again off again
soggy weather.
The staff of trainers and managing partner Bob Shepherd were
on hand at Gold’s
Gym Richmond
Highway location to meet and greet and complete heath assessments as part of a
member appreciation health fair.
Gold’s brought in various vendors to offer tips, deals, and
products to help Alexandria’s
heath conscious look and feel their best this fall.
After a quick body fat assessment, guests sampled delicious
smoothies and healthy fare from neighbor Cosmopolitan Grill or
splurged on slices of Domino’s Pizza and spent a few extra minutes on the
elliptical machines to burn it off. XS Energy Drink tasted out zero carb, zero
sugar drinks. Diet To Go brought entrees
from their meal service available for pick up at Gold’s for members to test.

“curve your hangover.” About Face
is also offering a special ladies day demonstration of Botox and Velashape
cellulite and body contouring in Alexandria
on October 25th from 1:30-3:30. Could this be part of the answer to
the frustrating “muffin top” problem?
Minis enjoyed a moon bounce right inside the Kid’s Gym
childcare area. Parents could purchase Usborne books as a special treat for
cooperative little ones.
Sometimes there is a reward for crawling out of bed on the
weekend and motivating to hit the gym even in the rain.
